Revolving around dates

Ever notice how your life tends to revolve around a handful of dates each year? It may be a graduation, wedding day, birthday, last or first day of a job, etc. Here are some dates for me this year:

June 11th - the day I take my LSATs. I'm not even sure i'm planning on applying or attending law school at this point - but I can't rule it out, and my performance on this exam can make or break my chances of getting into particular schools.

June 24th - the Philadelphia Triathlon. The Olympic Distance triathlon is a first for me - 1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run. 7 weeks into training and i'm still recovering from an ankle injury that has been nagging me for 4 months. I'm not so confident heading towards this goal with taking into consideration a rough run experience this morning (the pain that had subsided the past two runs came back today - I don't know why and it's so frustrating). But don't count me out just yet - i'm not looking to win this - I want to finish.

November 4th - the New York City Marathon. I registered yesterday for this and received my confirmation that I am indeed in the race! I am guaranteed entry because as a member of New York Road Runners club I completed 9 qualifying races in 2006. I'm psyched for this - but also nervous. It's a long way off but i've set a time goal for this marathon. I'd like to finish it in 4 hours. Had I not gotten injured in the Philly marathon, I was on pace to finish in about 4:20 or so - cutting 20 or more minutes of this time is going to be quite the challenge. However, I feel my training was spotty last year and with more experience this time around, I can focus and gear my workouts to a time goal. And, of course, I have to pray I fully recover from my injury AND not reinjure myself at some point during my tri or marathon training (which, by the way, will overlap this summer....still trying to figure out how to work this one out for optimal performance).

You still take the cake for craziest schedule! Yes - I am doing Phillyfit again - just registered yesterday in fact. Only, I won't really be joining the group until June because i'll be in LSAT class Saturday mornings. Are you doing it?
